St. James
St. James the Greater was the brother John. They were sons of Zebedee of Thunder (Mark 3:17). James belonged to the Innermost Circle. He witnessed the Transfiguration of Jesus. His symbol usually consists of three scallops, referring to long pilgrimages, or a pilgrim’s cloak.
